You are very welcome, Tiffany. Programs in our state (VA) decide which tools they want their staff to use so it varies, but I think the most common are the ELAP and HELP. Some practitioners use discipline-specific tools too. Some of our programs are also using the MEISR to help capture routines-based, functional assessment information in addition to the developmental info captured on the curriculum-based tools. We also rely on informed clinical opinion to help us fill in the gaps and recognize qualitative issues that the tool might miss. Hi! First of all, thank you for all of the amazing resources that you post and SHARE with everyone! I arrived here because I work in Colorado and we are looking at what types of assessments truly capture the information that we need and what we are hoping to support children and families with in EI. Would you happen to have a list of the assessments/examination tools that you currently use in your practice, and if you are finding that they meet your needs or leave anything to be desired?
